The whole of Holland Bakt scores a scoop, but there is also a ‘crime scene’

Bake, bake, bake and bake (or cook) some more. This is probably how manypeople have felt in recent days, in preparation for the many Christmasdinners. How nice is it to watch other people baking after dinner, with a fullbelly of course? And then also completely in the Christmas spirit. That’sexactly what viewers got All of Holland bakes yesterday, where they were notonly served a scoop, but also had to swallow ‘a crime scene’.

Many viewers on social media also note that because of that big Christmasdinner, they didn’t feel like the baking they saw on their television. It’sthe first time in ten seasons All of Holland bakes that there will be anepisode on Christmas Day. If you want to take a little trip in time: Subway_recently spoke Sarina, who is the third season of _All of Holland bakes won. That was in 2015, she owes a lot to her title ever since.

Scoop for Christmas episode Heel Holland Bakt

As said, last night was the very first episode of All of Holland bakes whichcoincided with Christmas Day. And that also means that there is a Christmasmaster baker for the first time. Viewers of the popular baking program inwhich ‘normal bakers’ compete with each other for who is the best baker sawZineb being crowned Christmas master baker yesterday. Jury member Janny vander Heijden praised the ‘balance’ in her baking, Robèrt van Beckhoven had fewwords enough: “Really great”.

‘Crime scene’ of a baking

The assignment, which Zineb eventually won, was to make a wreath cake. ‘Wreathshit?’, I hear you think. No, kransekake, a nut tree with rings. Simpleenough, you would think. But it turns out to be more difficult for the bakersthan expected. According to viewers, Ingrid even creates a crime scene.Another goes for the term ‘pure horror’. But that doesn’t matter, as long asit’s tasty, right? Van der Heijden went for the words “quite funny” and “veryyou”. Whether the latter is a compliment, given viewer comments, is open tointerpretation.

“I taste black pudding,” jokes André van Duin when he tastes a piece. Robèrt:”In terms of presentation, it seems like you thought ‘I’m done with it’, butwhat I do think is great is the taste.” For him, the combination of cinnamonwith berries and a salty pistachio nut especially stands out. “Not so pretty, but very tasty,” he emphasizes.

No matter how ‘terrifying’ Ingrid’s baking was, she can stay in the tent foranother week. Unfortunately, Sander has to close the oven and say goodbye.According to Janny, he takes risks, but he can also go too far. That hasn’tworked out well for him this week.

Where do I stream real party movies?

The jet set in the Italian capital needs no lessons in excess. It’s Jep’sbirthday and everyone is celebrating. All inhibitions are immediately lost inthe first minutes of this baroque film. A pumping remix of Raffaella Carrà andher ‘A far l’amore comincia tu’ blasts from the speakers. The guests areraging, the filth is slumbering, though it’s all yet to begin. There’s Jep atlast, grinning broadly and wearing a suit, as if that makes him a decent man.A film like an exquisite party: you have to experience it.

2 The great Gatsby

No character is as mysterious and mythical as F. Scott Fitzgerald’s JayGatsby, whether Robert Redford plays him or Leonardo DiCaprio. His lavishparties are no less. It’s the roaring twenties. Even those who walked casuallyback then still wore a suit. Or so it seems. Women decked out in glitterydresses and hats, which were as often modest as they were ostentatious.Everything breathes glamor at such a Gatsby party. Whoever meant something wasthere. Or did you just mean something because you were there?

The Sicilian aristocracy falls in the 1960s, while the bourgeoisie is justemerging. A pompous ball is then indispensable in this chronicle of the deathof a class. Burt Lancaster has to make do with a last circle dance as ametaphor for life passing by. Verdi’s music does the rest. Festive grandeurwith a mourning edge, because you can’t resist change.

5. Pride & Prejudice

A dance is never optional, and it certainly wasn’t in the early 19th centuryof Jane Austen’s filmed novel. Outfits say everything about your origin, yourplace in the world. Back then, parties were still modest and classy. As ifinhibitions also offered security. To a steadfast life of loving and beingloved. No wonder that passion had to speak mainly from looks that wereexchanged. Between Elizabeth Bennet and her Mr. Darcy, for example.

6. A single male

George and Charley have no one and each other in a film that is so beautifulthat it could only have been made by a designer like Tom Ford. Which is alsonoticeable in the outfits. They are dazzling. When he is her guest, he pourshimself a glass while she puts Etta James on. They dance, intimately, untilthe darkness again becomes too suffocating for her. ‘Wait!’ Booker T & TheMG’s goes on. “Come on, old man!” They go wild in style. They still lookgraceful, and for a moment they seem happy too.

7. The party

In a place where no one really feels at home, the biggest crazies soon seemnormal. The party appeals to the imagination, not because of the disdain ofthe guests, but because of the way the inhibitions drop when things go off therails. A house full of foam and an elephant that blends into the crowd: alletiquette is gone. Even Peter Sellers, here with the questionable appearanceof a man from India, can’t compete with that. Life as it is: Hollywood.

8. Malcolm & Mary

Partying is also: coming home and not ready for a night’s sleep yet. Just keepgoing, with your dress shoes and tuxedo. Perhaps as you did not dare to dobefore. Although Malcolm isn’t that type now. He presented his first film thatevening, but there is a storm in the air at home. He doesn’t see it, dances toJames Brown. Confident, or no: smug. One feels discomfort with an overlyemphatic outfit, the other feels taller.

Maxi Jazz, singer of dance formation Faithless, passed away at the age of 65 | show

Maxwell Fraser, known by his stage name Maxi Jazz as the singer of the Britishband Faithless, has died at the age of 65. The group reports this on socialmedia.

The artist has been struggling with health problems for some time. He diedpeacefully in his sleep at home in London, according to the group, internationally known for hits such as God is a dj and We come 1.

He was a man who changed our lives in so many ways. “He gave a real meaningand message to our music. He was also a sweet person with time for everyoneand wisdom that was both profound and accessible. It was an honor and ofcourse very nice to work with him.’

The band praises Maxwell as a ‘great lyricist’. “And a DJ, Buddhist, a greatstage presence, car lover, endless talker, beautiful person, a moral compassand a genius. Rest in peace, dearest Max. Like he always said: take care ofeach other, you hear?’

Fraser had to cancel performances last March because of his health problems. It was not clear what was wrong with him, but he reported that the problemsmade it impossible to go on stage. In recent months, he still shared videos inwhich he made music on Instagram, in which he looked very fragile.

As singer of Faithless, Fraser scored several world hits, with God is a dj_from 1998 as the most famous. The song came in the Netherlands at 1 in the Top40 and this year is at 383 in the Top 2000. He also made music apart fromFaithless; in 2002 he scored a modest hit with _My culture a collaborationwith Robbie Williams, among others.

In 1999, Faithless visited the Netherlands for a performance at Pinkpop. Thisedition of the festival went down in the books because of the small earthquakethat visitors caused by the music of the group. In February 2023, Maxi Jazzhad another performance planned at Poppodium 013 in Tilburg.

The singer was a big fan of London football club Crystal Palace. In 2012, hebecame the club’s deputy director. In response to his death, Crystal Palaceannounced that the team will take the field to the music of Faithless duringthe Boxing Day game against Fulham.

These are the most acclaimed series of 2022 | Movies & Series

As a series enthusiast, you could indulge yourself in the past year. Inaddition to the most expensive production ever and long-awaited sequels to bighits, there was also enthusiasm for new and lesser-known titles. NU.nl liststhe most memorable series.

Biggest hypes: The Rings of Power and Stranger Things

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power became by far the most expensiveseries of all time. Amazon paid 250 million dollars (235 million euros) forthe broadcasting rights and another 465 million dollars was added for thefirst season. Stunning sets, a seemingly endless number of filming locations, the best computer techniques: the expensive Prime series was a feast for theeyes. And there are five more seasons on the schedule.

It is difficult to see how much the series is catching on, since streamingservices can choose which numbers they release. In any case, they mustcontinue to make high-profile productions to attract and retain subscribers.”That is also possible”, film producer Alain de Levita previously explained toNU.nl. “It concerns such large numbers of subscribers that you also have a lotof money for content. You can then make three beautiful series or the mostexpensive series ever. With the latter you are unprecedentedly controversial.”

Competitors also made themselves heard. For example, Disney + continued tounpack with various new series from Marvel and Star Wars as Ms. Marvel and_Andor_. The existing hits are not forgotten either. The time travel magic out_Loki_ for example, will have a sequel in 2023, just like the hit series TheMandalorians.

At competitor Netflix, all eyes were on the fourth season of the fantasyseries Stranger Things. There is also clearly no skimping on the budget.Think of the blood-red horror world of villain Vecna, the trips to a Russianprison or the flashbacks in which leading actress Millie Bobby Brown was seenas a young child.

Netflix said that Stranger Things 4 streamed 1.35 billion hours in the firstmonth, slightly less than Squid game a year earlier. Also the fantasy series_Wednesday_ (after 28 days) and the crime sequence Dahmer (after sixty days)broke the billion stream hour mark, with no previous seasons to lean on.Dahmer creator Ryan Murphy has since announced sequels. Each season focuseson a different famous psychopath.

Major Prize Winners: The White Lotus and Succession

Of course it rained prizes again this year at the annual Emmy gala. Dramaseries succession (HBO), comedy Ted Lasso (Apple TV+) and miniseries TheWhiteLotus (HBO) were voted the best television shows. The last two serieswon the most prizes.

The WhiteLotus , a murder mystery set in a luxury resort in Hawaii, ended upwith the most prizes: five pieces in total. The series proves that moneydoesn’t necessarily buy happiness: a group of rich, spoiled holidaymakersbecome increasingly unpleasant towards each other as the holiday progresses. From the very first episode you know that one of them will die, but until thelast it remains exciting who.

The second season of the thriller series appeared at the end of October and itdoes not end there. HBO announced the third season in November, which willtake place at a new resort with other guests.

The drama series succession continues to win awards at the Emmys since 2019.The darkly comic story about the successors within a family business even ledthe awards gala this year. The third season received a total of 25nominations, four of which were eventually cashed.

Jason Sudeikis was awarded for the second time in a row as Ted Lasso, thefootball coach who has been generating enthusiastic reactions since 2020.Zendaya became the youngest person ever to bag two Emmys as she won again forher role in Euphoria. New seasons of all the above series have now beenannounced.

Under the Radar: Undone and The Golden Hour

Not all strong series of 2022 ended up in the spotlight. For example, therewas the second season of the Prime series Undone , directed by the DutchmanHisko Hulsing. Through rotoscoping , a technique in which actors aredigitally traced, he allowed picturesque fantasy and reality to flow into eachother. Main character Alma (Rosa Salazar) lives in a new timeline witheverything she hoped for, until it turns out that something is wrong with herfamily here too. An important role is again reserved for Bob Odenkirk (BetterCall Saul ).

The series again received favorable reviews. IndieWire felt that the familystory had become even richer and deeper, thanks to the inventive adjustmentstyle and two protagonists. Also Rogerebert.com found the second season evenbetter than the first: “A tragic and poignant tale of how to live with theguilt, pain and scars of the past, from generation to generation.”

Series also appeared in our own country that were enthusiastically received.Came to the Golden Calves gala disaster flight (Best Drama Series), Theyear of Fortuyn (best actor) and Dirty Lines (Best Actress) as winners. Butafter that rain of awards, another series appeared that is worth watching. The golden hour which is set around a series of attacks in Amsterdam, received good reviews but did not become a major viewing hit.

“The series strikes a balance between action, shock and a strong plotstructure,” wrote de Volkskrant. “And the most important thing is that theviewer is also challenged a bit. And that we can finally really say that abouthome-grown series is the greatest benefit.”

No solo estudióviolonchelo.

And polinesio, Teahupo’o significa “muro de calaveras”.

The knight and the tiger bit off. They sang the song together Merry XmasEverybody from Slade __ and made it a real party. The jury did not miss thateither. Nevertheless, the audience in the room decided that a place in thefinal was for the tiger. And so the adventure ended for the frog. The panel, consisting of Carlo Boszhard, Loretta Schrijver, Gerard Joling and BuddyVedder, agreed unanimously: Wolter Kroes had to be hidden in the frog suit. The tension built up, but guess what? The jury had guessed correctly for thethird week in a row. “Yes,” they exclaimed in unison when it became clear thatthey were right.

Shame

It wasn’t over for the panel after the initial reveal. It was up to theelephant and the flamingo to compete for a place in the final. They performeda rendition of Underneath the christmas tree by Kelly Clarkson. Boszhard,Joling, Vedder and Schrijver meanwhile were guessing: could Hans Klok behidden in the elephant suit? And who would that flamingo be? Questions aboutthe flamingo went unanswered, because the public believed that the elephantshould leave the battlefield.

It was Gerard Joling who got a hunch and thought he was sure it was actorEveron Hooi. That in contrast to Vedder, Boszhard and Schrijver. Theymentioned, among others, Juvat Westendorp and Martijn Krabbé. To the surpriseof the panel, Joling turned out to be on the right track. A shame for Vedder, because he had not recognized his ‘dressing room buddy’. “Really, howembarrassing of me. I actually want to disappear here”, Vedder confessed tohis ‘ roomie ‘.

The third performance was given by the queen bee and the joker. They sang_Last Christmas_ from Wham. What the panel immediately noticed: there was noquestion of a competition here; the chemistry between the two just splashedoff the stage. And as nice as the duet was, the adventure ended for the queenbee. The panel was convinced that it must be Berget Lewis and that turned outto be correct.

Lewis suggested her participation The Masked Singer find ‘great’. “I thoughtit was one of the most fun programs I’ve ever done,” she exulted once sherevealed herself.

Vocal violence

The penguin and the panda, stretched out on a piano, closed the show with ajazz version of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. Buddy Vedder already threw aball: according to him, Angela Schijf would be in the suit of the panda.Meanwhile, the panel thoroughly enjoyed the performance. That was made clearagain afterwards. “You don’t want violence at Christmas, but vocal violence ismore than welcome. You guys are incredibly good”, Vedder complimented the twomysterious ladies.

No matter how ‘Broadway-worthy’ the performance of the two was; according toBoszhard, both the penguin and the panda had not given themselves one hundredpercent all this time. “So these are two people who are completely in thebusiness,” he concluded.

Boszhard will have to wait and see whether that conclusion is justified, because the final place went to the penguin. That meant the panda had to gohome, but not before the panel could guess who the mysterious celebrity was.Joling and Vedder went for Angela Schijf, Schrijver bet on Birgit Schuurmanand Boszhard mentioned musical star Vajèn van den Bosch. So it could go eitherway.

It was Schrijver who finally managed to solve the puzzle, because BirgitSchuurman was indeed hidden in the panda suit. ,,You are right”, Boszhardyelled. Schuurman smiled broadly and looked back smugly on her adventure. “Ireally enjoyed doing it. Super exciting all the time too, keeping that asecret and then hearing you talk and guess who it could be.”
