The Android 12 update for the Chromecast with Google TV has been a long timecoming, but has now been officially released. The new software is availablefor the 4K version of the Chromecast, which was released two years ago.
The differences between Android 10 and 12 are not large on the Chromecast, butthere are of course a number of innovations. For example, a handy privacyfunction has been added, so that you see a dot in the picture when themicrophone of the remote control is used.

‘Specs Samsung Galaxy S23 on the street, show little innovation’
The innovations in Samsung’s S-line have been sparse lately. Leakedspecifications of the Samsung Galaxy S23 suggest that that will not changenext year. The by smartphone insider Yogesh Brar Shared information showsthat the device is very similar to the Galaxy S22.
The S23 again gets a 6.1-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2340 by 1080pixels. The refresh rate is 120Hz. Fortunately, the S23 does get a slightlylarger battery. The capacity would be 3900 mAh. The S22 only had 3700 mAh onboard. The charging speed remains the same: 25 Watts.

This will cost streaming service SkyShowtime in the Netherlands
The new streaming service SkyShowtime, which will be available in theNetherlands from next Tuesday (25 October), will cost 6.99 euros per month.The service announced this in a press release. SkyShowtime revealed to come tothe Netherlands a while ago.
It is unknown whether there is still a promotion at launch. HBO Max, which hasalso been active in the Netherlands since this year, gave customers a’lifetime’ discount of 50 percent in the first few weeks. SkyShowtime may havea similar promotion in store for the Dutch release, but nothing is known aboutthis (yet).

Android 13 Go official: these 5 things you need to know
Google has announced Android 13 Go. The new software is equipped with amodified design, based on Material You. That was introduced with Android 12and is now coming to the light version of the well-known operating system.
This means, among other things, that accent colors are based on the setbackground. You can see those colors in the quick settings menu, notificationsand in other places. As an Android Go user, you are limited to choosing fourcolor profiles, where in Android 13 there are now 16.

This is the Nokia Streaming Stick 800: competitor for the Chromecast
The Nokia Streaming Stick 800 resembles recent Chromecasts in many ways, runson Android TV and comes with a remote control. In addition to the usualcontrol buttons, the remote also has buttons to start YouTube, Netflix, AmazonPrime Video and Disney Plus.
There is also a Google Assistant button to activate the digital assistant andyou can go to the Play Store with one press. There you will find the appsavailable for Android TV. A nice detail is that the buttons of the remotecontrol are illuminated. If you like to watch movies and series in the dark,then the Nokia Streaming Stick 800 is easier to operate.
